a tidy little weekend

Hey hows it going good weekend?
Mine was fairly packed with all manner of shenanigans going on. Friday I went to see Avatar 3D which I thought was pretty damn good. Visually it was incredible to watch, I mean absolutely stunning, definitely worth seeing if you haven't already and if you have just go again!

Saturday I saw a local band, called 'Standing on Giants' which were ace. Was a wee pub gig (the padwell arms in Stone Street, Kent) but the guys had the place packed out and put on a great show, top lads. Here's there myspace check them out. http://www.myspace.com/standingongiants
It was refreshing to see live music, a quality night.

And to round it all off, sunday was games night down the pub so the Wii came down and guitar hero was busted out as well as some very aggressive bowling action. I think Wii nights are a brilliant idea to get people in pubs. I've been to a few different ones now and every time its been a great laugh, think this could be the quiz night of the future.

But enough larking about this week I'm meeting some copywriters, arranging crits and working on news ideas, so busy busy.

By the way is anyone going to this? Looks like another good night out http://www.shellsuitzombie.co.uk/vs.html

Run forest RUN!

One of my things for this year was to get back into running. Haven't been out for ages due to the snow and general englishness of the weather, but this week I finally mustered up the courage to face the cold evening air. I've been out every night this week and I'm really getting into it now. I'm making playlists, recording times the whole 9 yards!

Any way I'll leave ya with one of my favourite running ads ....

Don't be shy.

As you may or may not know I'm on the hunt for a copywriter (if you've read this blog you'll probably see many spelling mistakes and grammatical errors). If you are a junior copywriter or know any one whos interested in teaming up with an art director, please drop me a line on andy_1parsons@hotmail.com. I've got a couple of placements lined up but would ideally like to be working with a copywriter, so don't be shy and say hello!

ello there

ello there my names Andy Parsons and this is my brand new blog. I'm a junior Art Director looking to make my way as a creative in the world of advertising. I did an advertising degree at the University of Gloucestershire, which was an awesome 3 years and in the end I came out with a 1st class BA Hons and some sweet work.
I'm now on the hunt for a copywriter and looking for placements and industry experience.
I'll be posting my work up shortly so stay tuned for that.
Cheers
Andy
